Design for Reliability (DfR) Seminar
In this seminar, we will teach you the proper techniques to achieving Design for Reliability (DfR). You will learn the four key steps of a DfR Process:
- Set a reliability goal
- Write a plan to achieve this goal
- Execute the plan
- Measure and adjust
In Step 1, you will learn how to assess your reliability program and how to benchmark against competitors in order to properly set the goal. You will also learn how to set metrics so that you can measure where you are against your goal at various stages in the product development process.
In Step 2, you will learn the best reliability techniques and how to apply them and how to choose which techniques to use to achieve your set goal. The techniques chosen must be integrated cohesively into the reliability program to maximize the effectiveness of each technique.
In Step 3, you will learn how to follow your reliability plan and how to implement each of the reliability activities called out in the plan.
In Step 4, you will learn how to utilize your metrics to measure where you are at against your goals and make adjustments to your program as needed during the process to achieve your goals.
Note that this DfR seminar can highlight Hardware only, Software only, or a combination of the two.
